Lactic acid (Lactic Acid) is an alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin. This 5% formulation offers gentle exfoliation and is supported by a purified form of mountain pepper, which is known to reduce the signs of inflammation and sensitivity often associated with exfoliation. This derivative of plant origin has a color that varies according to the seasons and this variation can also occur in the formula. Contraindications: lactic acid should not be used on sensitive, cracked or peeling skin. See the note on additional sunscreen and other warnings included in the instructions. The formula has a pH of around 3.8.
